Mereka bersaing menarik perhatian pengunjung Plaza gedung Agustinus Lantai 1, Univesitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya (UKWMS). Ada yang menjelaskan sambil menampilkan video pembuatan <em>choco lava cake<\/em>, ada juga yang memberikan <em>tester<\/em> produk yang menjadi tema mading mereka. Sebagian besar memaparkan mulai dari sejarah, cara pembuatan hingga kandungan nutrisi serta manfaat dari aneka sajian yang mereka presentasikan. Rupanya mereka adalah peserta dari <em>Food Technology Journalistic Competition <\/em>(FTJC) 2016, Jumat (15\/04\/2014).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ketua Pelaksana FTJC 2016, Benediktus Denis, mengatakan acara ini merupakan kompetisi sekaligus pameran karya jurnalistik yang ditujukan untuk tingkat SMA se-Jawa Timur. Acara yang diadakan oleh Lembaga Pers Mahasiswa, Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian Jurusan Teknologi Pangan (LPM-FTP) UKWMS ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa-siswi SMA dalam membuat karya jurnalistik bertemakan teknologi pangan. Tahun ini FTJC mengangkat tema \u201c<em>Desserts<\/em>\u201d alias hidangan penutup. Sejatinya <em>dessert<\/em> disajikan untuk menghilangkan kesan rasa makanan di mulut. \u201cSekarang ini, <em>desserts <\/em>sedang <em>booming <\/em>terutama di kalangan anak muda. Jika tahun lalu peserta diminta untuk menampilakan hasil karya berupa <em>scrap paper<\/em>, tahun ini peserta harus membuatnya dalam bentuk mading 3D. \u201cDengan konsep mading 3D ini diharapkan peserta dapat menuangkan ide dan kreativitas dengan lebih maksimal,\u201d lanjut Denis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Selain mengasah kemampuan jurnalistik dan menambah wawasan teknologi pangan, FTJC 2016 juga dapat melatih kemampuan peserta dalam berkomunikasi karena selama pameran berlangsung peserta akan mempresentasikan mading hasil karya mereka kepada para pengunjung dan juri. Penilaian oleh juri dilakukan berdasar kreativitas, penguasaan materi, kerapian, presentasi, serta kesesuaian dengan tema. Presentasi mereka inilah yang dapat menarik minat pengunjung untuk mendukung melalui kertas <em>polling<\/em> dan tim dengan perolehan suara terbanyak akan menjadi juara favorit.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3374\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3374\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ukwms.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Tim-SMA-Kristen-Gloria-menjadi-pemenang-FTJC.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3374 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/ukwms.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Tim-SMA-Kristen-Gloria-menjadi-pemenang-FTJC-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Tim SMA Kristen Gloria menjadi pemenang FTJC\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3374\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tim SMA Kristen Gloria menjadi pemenang FTJC<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Acara FTJC 2016 juga dimeriahkan oleh penampilan dari mahasiswa-mahasiswa FTP, Unit Kegiatan Kemahasiswaan Cabang Olahraga wushu dan Seni dansa, beberapa stan sponsor, serta beberapa <em>games<\/em> yang melibatkan peserta. Meski sempat terguyur oleh hujan di beberapa area, acara FTJC 2016 tetap berjalan dengan meriah hingga penghujung acara. Pengunjung semakin riuh ketika tiba saatnya pengumuman pemenang FTJC 2016. Juara I diraih oleh Emily Josephine, Gwyneth Vannia, dan Yosephine Kurnia dari SMA Kristen Gloria 1 Surabaya dengan madding 3D <em>Chocolate Cake<\/em>. \u00a0Juara II diraih oleh Amelia Helen, Maria Chendhika, dan Valencia Vivian dari SMA Kristen Petra 5 Surabaya dengan karya <em>Melting Chocoball<\/em>. Juara III diraih oleh Andro Samuel, Martinus Surya, dan Niken Kriswara dari SMA Santo Carolus Surabaya yang mempresentasikan <em>Pie<\/em>, dan juara favorit diraih oleh Larasati Indhita, Nida Istifara Putri, dan Shinta Widya Santoso dari SMA Margie Surabaya yang hadir dengan mading <em>Choco Lava Cake <\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Karya favorit pengunjung tersebut sangat unik, karena dibentuk menjadi sebuah peraga <em>cake<\/em> cokelat raksasa yang terlihat seperti meleleh dan mengeluarkan aroma cokelat. Larasati mengungkapkan, mereka menggunakan bagian bawah peraga sebagai tempat menyimpan kue <em>choco lava cake<\/em> yang mereka bagikan untuk <em>tester<\/em>. \u201cKesulitannya adalah kami belum bisa membuatnya tetap hangat sehingga cokelat yang harusnya meleleh jadi beku di dalam kue. Masalahnya kalau terlalu panas nanti <em>display-<\/em>nya yang meleleh,\u201d ungkap Nida.
