Accounting Study Program

The Accounting Study Program of Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya (UKWMS) has been established since 1974. The UKWMS Accounting Study Program is under the auspices of the UKWMS Faculty of Economics (FE UKWMS) which was established in 1965. The Accounting Study Program began with the establishment of a Vocational Education Institution, namely the Adjunct Accountant Department, under the coordination of FE UKWMS, on November 1, 1974. In 1983, the Adjunct Accountant changed its name to the accounting study program for S-1. In 2010, the WMCUS Faculty of Economics changed its name to the Faculty of Business. So that until now the UKWMS S-1 Accounting study program is under the auspices of the Faculty of Business.

In the teaching and learning process, the S-1 accounting study program organizes the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum which upholds the Merdeka Campus. The Merdeka Learning Curriculum provides flexibility in educational programs that can provide opportunities for students to gain learning experiences through intra and interprody, intra and inter-college, and through internships in the field. Therefore, to obtain learning outcomes (learning outcomes) students can learn by utilizing broad and varied learning resources (intra-interprogram study / college / field). Thus, students can channel their interests or desires, talents, and potential, so that they can strengthen learning outcomes. Students can choose the Study Program Curriculum until graduation or choose the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum.

The lecturers in the UKWMS accounting study program consist of academics, namely lecturers who develop accounting science and deepen theoretical aspects. Furthermore, the lecturers of the UKWMS accounting study program also consist of practitioners who work in the fields of tax consultants, financial consultants, accounting consultants, auditors, and entrepreneurs.
